Weekly Wrap-up: April 9-15 (KEERT)

Today I have my weekly wrap-up for the week of April 9 to April 15. I finished 3 books this week. One of them was a reread for me. I started reading 3 more so I would say I feel very accomplished. I also got one blog post up. Let’s get into it!

Finished Books:
  • Amy & Roger’s Epic Detour by Morgan Matson: I gave it 5 stars. It made me want to take a road trip.
  • Can You Get an F in Lunch by Nancy Krulik: This was the book I reread. I gave this 4 stars when I read it for the first time and now it’s still 4 stars.
  • She’s so Dead to Us by Kieran Scott: I gave this book 4 stars. There were a few problems with it but I really liked the book.

Currently Reading:
  • Heartless by Sara Shepard: This is the 7th book in the Pretty Little Liars series. I really love Pretty Little Liars. Both the show and the books. I’m really loving this book so far. I’m 14% into the book.
  • Holding up the Universe by Jennifer Niven: I’m reading the ebook version of this book. So far I’m only 6% into the book so I don’t know what I think of it yet.
  • The Heir by Kiera Cass: This book is the 4th book in The Selection series. I’m barely into this book but I enjoyed the first 3 so I know I’ll probably enjoy this one too.

Most Anticipated Spring Releases 2017 (KEERT)

Today I’m going to be talking about my most anticipated spring releases for 2017. Let’s get into it!

The Thing about Love by Julie James - April 18
I’ve never read any of Julie James’ books before so this will be the first one. This book is about two FBI agents named Jessica Harlow and John Shepherd have a past. The former lawyer and Army ranger clashed during their training at Quantico gladly going their separate ways after graduating from the Academy. Six years later, the last thing they expect is to run into each other again – assigned to work as partners in a high-profile undercover sting. For both of them, being paired with a former rival couldn’t come at a worse time. Recently divorced from a Hollywood producer and looking for a fresh start, Jessica is eager to prove herself at her new field office. And John is just one case away from his dream assignment to the FBI’s elite Hostage Rescue Team. In order to nail a corrupt Florida politician, they’ll have to find a way to work as a team.  It becomes even trickier when they’re forced to hole up at a romantic, beachfront resort as part of the investigation. Suddenly, the heat behind their nonstop sparring threatens to make the job a whole lot more complicated.

I Found You by Lisa Jewell - April 25
This book is a mystery/thriller. The book is about a young bride, a lonely single mother, and an amnesiac man. In a windswept British seaside town, single mom Alice Lake finds a man sitting on the beach outside her house. He has no name, no jacket, and no idea how he got there. Against her better judgment, she invites him inside. Meanwhile, in a suburb of London, Lily Monrose, 21, has only been married for three weeks. When her new husband fails to come home from work one night, she is left stranded in a new country where she knows no one. Then the police tell her that her husband never existed. Twenty-three years earlier, Gray and Kirsty are teenagers on a summer holiday with their parents. Their annual trip to the quaint seaside town is passing by uneventfully until an enigmatic young man starts paying extra attention to Kirsty. Something about him makes Gray uncomfortable.

Odd Birds by Ian Harding - May 2
This book is written by one of my favorite actors, Ian Harding. Ian Harding is an actor on my favorite show, Pretty Little Liars. Ian explores his life in Hollywood through the lens of his favorite pastime in this collection of personal stories. Odd Birds is a must-read for fans of his hit show, nature enthusiasts, and lovers of celebrity memoirs.

My Beautiful Struggle by Jordan Bone - May 4
Jordan Bone is one of my favorite YouTubers. She is so inspiring. I really can’t wait for this one to come out.

When Dimple Meets Rishi by Sandhya Menon - May 30
This book is about two Indian teenagers named Dimple and Rishi and their parents arrange their marriage. Dimple has her life all planned out and Rishi is a Romantic. I can’t wait to read this one. I have a feeling I’ll definitely relate to the characters since I’m Indian, too.
Those were my anticipated spring releases for 2017. I hoped you enjoyed reading this!

Love,

Keert

March Wrap-up 2017 (KEERT)

Hi, guys! I'm Keert and I’ll be writing all the posts that have to do with books. Ruby will be no longer doing those posts since she realized she loves fashion and beauty a little bit more than books. However, she and Neena decided they still want to have blog posts going up about books so they decided that I will be doing them from now on. I’ll be posting just as much as Ruby and Neena do. I’ll be reviewing books, doing hauls, etc.

Anyways, today I have my March wrap-up. I didn’t really read that many books this month since I was busy with school and stuff. I was also kind of in a reading slump. I hope April will be a much better month for reading. Also from now on I’ll try to have individual reviews for these books as well. Those reviews will go more in-depth. Let’s get into!

Lost and Found by Anne Schraff:
This book is about a girl named Darcy Wills. Her family is going through some rough times. Her father left them, her grandmother is very sick, and her younger sister is acting out. Later a mysterious stranger starts following her and then someone leaves a threatening note on her desk and then her sister disappears. Honestly, I just couldn’t get into this book. I lost interest near the beginning of the story. To me the story was just boring. I didn’t give it any rating on Goodreads.

Paper Towns by John Green:
I think most people know what this book is about. It’s about a girl named Margo who “runs away’’. She leaves “clues” to where she is for the neighbor Quentin. Quentin follows the clues but learns that Margo wasn’t the girl he thought he knew. This book was really good. At first I couldn’t get into it but when Quentin started finding the clues I started reading more and more. I gave it a 4/5 stars on Goodreads.

The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight by Jennifer E. Smith:
This was my first Jennifer E. Smith book that I’ve ever read. This book is about a girl named Hadley Sullivan who is 17. She misses her flight to London for her dad’s second wedding. While she’s waiting for the next flight, she meets Oliver, a British boy who’s sitting in her row. After a long night on the airplane, Hadley and Oliver lose each other in the chaos at the airport after they arrive. Will they be able to find their way back to one another? I gave this book 5/5 stars. It was a romantic and adorable story. I really loved the story.

That’s it, guys! I only read 3 books this month. I’m hoping I’ll have more than 3 books for my April wrap-up. We’ll see!

Love,

Keert
